Why recycling paper is worth it

Paper is one of the easiest materials to recycle, yet a lot of it still ends up in landfills. Before you throw old magazines away, take a moment to think about what you could save.
Trees
Recycling one tonne of waste paper saves about 17 trees. That means fewer forests cut down and cleaner air.
Water and energy
Making paper from recycled fibre takes far less water and energy than making it from fresh wood pulp.
Landfill space
Paper takes up a lot of landfill space and releases greenhouse gases as it rots. Paper you hand in becomes new raw material instead.
And finally, it pays off for you too: we buy your waste paper and pay you for it.
